A side-splitting, side stepping, "wholesome" good time!
Celebrate the zest of Spring with a country musical sure to cause sparks! A boisterous extravaganza merging Broadway belters, singing gospel evangelists and country side-stepping!
This is your personal invitation to The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas! A sassy musical based loosely on fact. It was affectionately called the 'chickenranch' because in depression times, farmers brought chickens instead of dollars to pay for their... 'enjoyment'. (It existed from 1844 to 1973). It's just a piddly squattin' ole time country place. Jes lots of good will and maybe one small thrill but there's nothin' dirty goin' on! Join Miss Mona and her girls, reputed to be both healthy and "ladies" in a small Texas town brothel which plays host to most local and visiting men and boys. The house is threatened with extinction by an obnoxious, do-good television-watchdog personality, whose only interest is personal publicity and recognition... so the fight begins and they're off 'n' racin'!
A musical of dreamers and survivors intertwined into a successfully mastered musical that incorporates comedy, farce, romance, satire and drama.
With memorable tunes such as "A Lil' Ole Bitty Pissant Country Place", "Texas Has A Whorehouse In It", "The Sidestep", "Hard Candy Christmas and many many more! A 'wide awake' enjoyment you won't want to miss!
